Headphone jack problem - only left side of the headphone is working.
So, I have this macbook for two years now, and one day i put my headphone in and sound came out only on the left . My headphone works fine in other divices and I tested with other headphones in my mac.
I search a while on forums and all of them said it is probably a problem with my logic card, but is too expencive to buy a new one just to fix a sound problem that seems to be a contact error.
I already tried to stick the q-tip in the sound jack (http://www.ifixit.com/Answers/View/821/H...), at first it simply didn't work and at the second time I tried a red light came out of the sound jack.
I thoght of openning my mac and try to disconnect and connect again the sound output from my logic board, but I am afraid to damage it even more. So, will I really have to buy a hole new logic board or is there another solution?

Work around is to purchase a 3rd party USB audio adaptor... they have mic in and audio out, and plug into your USB port bypassing the line out headphone jack. You'll have a dongle, but it will be a cheap fix.
