Hello, I've been fixing iPhones for around a year now and sadly the only major obstacle i've come across is with my own phone.

My iPhone thinks its connected to a dock, evident from the fact that when I attempt to play music, there is no volume slider, and the mute/volume adjustment buttons are useless.

Originally, I cleaned out the connector with a dry toothbrush and could get it to work for a few seconds (ie volume slider re-appeared), but then it would dissapear once again thinking its connected to a dock.

I assumed this problem would be fixed if I replaced the connection dock, which would be logical... however to my amazement even after I replaced the dock the same problem still exists!

Luckily I can still charge my phone, but the problem is very frustrating and if anyone has any advice itd be appreciated. My only guess now is that it is something to do with the logic board unfortunately, no idea how/what though!
