bottom half of touch screen not working after replacement

History

swapped out the digitizer and now the bottom icons do not work

It sounds like either a faulty digitizer or maybe something might have gotten unplugged when you put it back together. I would try to pull it back apart and make sure that everything is connected properly and if you still have an issue, then I would say that it is a faulty digitizer.

Do as Michael Stoffer writes, but also make sure contacts are clean and nothing is in the connector port.
