I-pod stuck on pause mode.

my I-pod is stuck in the pause mode and wont respond. I checked the lock out switch, I tried sync.
it to my I-tunes no responce, I tried linking it to my
car stero player its not recognized. I tried a hard re boot no go . the only thing its doing is it show the display of the song it was playing and stuck on. I suspect its a logic board problem can any one help???
