After the starting sound, it get stucked in a dark screen w/noise

History

One day, my old but nice iBookG4 won't start anymore. After the classical "start sound", it gets stuck with a dark grey screen, making a soft strange noise, like something is trying to start, but can't reach it.

That's your HD making noise... try booting to an optical drive or external drive. After a bit you'll get a "can't read this disk" error and it will unmount. I hope you had important files backed up.
