This is such a mistery..

When i disconnect ribbon cable nr 6 the iphone 3G gets a weak carrier signal. When i connect it properly i will always get no service...

Does anybody have a clue whats going on here ?

PS: I tried putting the logic board in known working backcovers with all electronics. Same problem...

Flex Cable #6 is the Wi-Fi and GPS antenna. GSM I believe is the antenna beneath and attached to the speaker/mic assembly at base/bottom of iPhone, the antenna screw holes go on top of the bezel holes. Also for GSM reception the long copper pin of of Logic Board near vibrate area needs to touch bezel of iPhone case.

Brad,

Thanks for your comment, Brad. However, i already knew this. Like the topic says it's somewhat of a mystery to me why a disconected nr6 atleast gives me a carrier signal while connected it properly results in no service.. Im just wondering if anybody knows what's going on!
