Water damaged iPhone 4 does nothing but flashlight stays on. Any ideas
Went for a dip in the pool with IPhone in my pocket. Case kept most water out and it functioned for a short time afterwards. Now screen stays black and the flash stays lit. Still makes sound when charger is plugged in. It has spent 3 days in rice. Never attempted any sort of repair before but I am willing to try anything.

I jumped in a pool with my iPhone in my pocket recently too. I tried the rice and nothing. Then a friend told me to get damprid packs. I got two plastic containers. One big enough for the phone, another big enough to hold the other container. I put the damprid pack in the larger container, put the container with the phone inside that and then put the lid on the larger container. That worked for me. Phone has only been back on for 2 days, i havent had any issues yet and hoping i wont Good luck!
