Alright so bear with me on this. Almost a year ago I dropped my phone in the sink, pulled it out as fast as humanly possible. Attempted to shut it off, but for some reason it kept powering back on. I let the battery drain completely and ordered the liberation kit as it had the pentalobe screws. It stayed in rice until the kit showed up, I was able to open it and no signs of corrosion were present. So aside from turning off on its own once in a while there wasnt really any problem, until about 2 months ago it would shut off about 6 times a day unless 1 of 2 things were happening, 1) it was plugged into a power source, or 2) unless I was doing something to drain the battery, using it or, leaving the ipod app playing music on silent. Now yesterday It turned off and wont turn back on, my computer recognizes it when plugged into itunes and attempted the restore, I get errors 1600, 1601 and 1602. I took it apart again, and still not seeing any signs of damage or corrosion. Ive been searching for a while and cant seem to find anybody with my exact issue, and any help would be awesome. thanks!

thanks for that, it seems to allow the bypass of the 16xx error, itunes restored the phone, but the screen shows up black, no apple logo on bootup or anything else.

shankyohs,

is the screen actually black or is the backlight just out? Hold the phone in bright light and look very closely when you press the power button to see if an image is displayed.
