losing internet connection, or very weak connection?

History

Macbook cannot get good signal strength even when directly beside router.

Have you tried switching the router to b/g mode only? or another channel?

Also if there are wireless 2.4 Ghz cameras close by they can interfere.

If you think it is hardware related check the antenna connections on the wireless card. Maybe reseat it while you are there. If all else fails replace the card.

A 2.4 GHZ phone will do the same.

Yes, I tried all but the antenna connection and card. Is there a diagnostic that I can get, or run to check the card or antenna? I do appreciate the help, I'm at My maximum intelligence level and don't have money to burn. Thanks for the help, Everyone.
