Overheated motherboard with a heat gun
Hello,
I was trying to replace the sim card connector with a soldering pencil but couldn't get enough heat (12 watt pencil). So I got impatient and tried using a heat gun facing away from the IC chips. it worked great!, except now the phone won't turn on :(
Before this the phone was working fine other than it wouldn't read a sim card. I'm assuming that I have cooked some IC Chips. Any recommendations on which one to replace or other possible problems that resulted from the heat.

Clean the circuit line that has probably short-circuit impact please. If not, use your magnifying glass to inspect closely that you might have spade up any tinny elements if any nearby. If so, just solder it back carefully. Another probability is that you have loose connection or disconnection of the wiring from the battery. Inspect the connections. Hope you will make it.
