Hard drive replacement MacBook
Hey!
Looking to replace a 120 GB hard drive on a 4 year-old MacBook Pro. Your step by step instructions seem straightforward
Question. Hope this doesn't sound dumb. I assume I back up my hard drive first using an ext hard drive and Time Machine?
PS. heard about you from the Apple Store in Pittsburgh

You'll need either an external hard drive enclosure to move the data or an adapter to hook the drive up with. iFixit sells this one: Universal Drive Adapter
Use Disk Utilities to format the drive and then Time Machine to do the backup.
