There are known issues with the USB connectors. Try wiggling them around when you plug in the charger cord.

I had the same problem, I discovered that I had a short in my USB Cable ....I bought a new mini-USB cable and connected it to the wall charger and the TouchPad and I was good to Go.

If you have a Kindle, the cable will charge your TouchPad until you can purchase a replacement cable. I purchased a new cable from the internet for around $3 and free shipping.

This problem is well documented on hp discussion boeards. The problem with it not charging can be bad cable, bad male connection on the touchpad, or bad battery. After tryinall ticks to hold combo buons for 60 seconds and purchasin new chargr ulit direct from HP, my last option is trying the battery. I will keep you posted. It is just out of warrantee and HP wants close to $400 to repair. I asked them about a possible recall and communication went silent.

I had the same charging problem. After buying the converter online (OK, I bought it twice, but don't tell anybody) it turned out to be the USB cable. I was able to get one just like it at the local Goodwill for a dollar : )
