Do you think it is fixable?
I found a great deal on a MacBook Pro 2.5 Quad i7 from a friend for $400, only it is water damaged. I can repair almost any Apple problem easily but I hate water damage. The computer boots every time and charges the battery but will only display on an external monitor. When on an external monitor everything works and it runs with out a hitch. The screen stays completely black during this whole time with no backlight but briefly flashes the screen every time it is turned on. I haven't been able to look inside but my question is, does anyone think that i can just clean off the board and LVDS contacts and maybe replace the lcd cable and have to and have it work. Could anything be completely destroyed on the logic board. I have fixed several iPhones that have been submerged in the past but never a computer. Do you think i can fix it?

Since it appears that only the internal display is not working I think it's fixable - but it could be a costly repair. See this similar Question.
