USB port stopped working at all
Hello everybody!
I have a MacBook Pro Early 2011 2.0 GhZ.
Last week, all of a sudden, one of the two USB ports stopped working.
I phoned the Apple support, and they told me to restar the PRAM etc but nothing worked.
Hence, they told me to seek support from an authorized reseller/repair
Now, the computer start-up time has increased a bit and I am starting to get worried.
1) What do you think might be the problem?
2) How much do you think it would cost?
3) Has anyone experienced similar issues and how did they solved them/got them solved?
Thank you very much!
Henry

See if you can still get in on the warranty, or if they'll give you a depot repair. Ports on the logic board are not a DIY sort of fix. As a work around you could put a self-powered USB HUB on the one working port.
