Hi,

I replaced the dock connector in my iPhone 4 today. I closed it all back up and turned it on and the phone still doesn't recognized when it is plugged in. In addition, I placed a call to make sure I had set the microphone back up correctly but it wasn't functioning, and the Home button wasn't responding either.

I watched the how-to video and did the disassembly along with it, but when I perused back over the written one after I found out that the phone still wasn't working, and I realized that they instructed you to take out the camera and remove the logic board, which I did not do. So, I tore the phone apart again, this time taking out the logic board at the appropriate time, removing the new, working dock connector and re-inserting it in the name of being thorough. Unfortunately, I lost a screw and didn't have the time to find it before I had to leave for work, so now I need to order replacements before needing to proceed.

The only other thing of note is that the head of the screw that I removed in step 4 of the ifixit guide came off when I tightened the screw in. I didn't think it was a big deal because the part was held down just fine by the ribbon, and the back plate just held it down more firmly. Maybe I underestimate this issue. For all I know, the phone will work just fine when I do get the screws replaced, but I have a couple of questions.

1) Can someone provide me with a link to a set of iPhone 4 screws? The only thing that I could find was this, but I'm not entirely sure that this is actually what I want, because the listing says "4G" but the description says iPhone 4.

2) Can you give me any specific tips on hooking the Home Button ribbon back up? Also, I wasn't sure if the rubber cover for the microphone was put on correctly either.

3) What's my next step if the phone still won't recognize that it's plugged in?
