Power Button Not Working

I dropped my 3GS and the power button no longer works. I bought and replaced the headphone jack ribbon and it still does not work. All other controls on the new headphone jack ribbon function fine, just not the power button. I've verified that the button is depressing the button on the ribbon correctly. Any ideas?
Try another cable, it's pretty thin and easy to tear. Order from another company just in case it's a bad batch
