Why wont my iPhone 3G charge?
My iPhone 3g wont charge at all and my dads 4 will. A minute or so before it died I plugged it in and it was fine, and about half battery i got a text then I put it back on. Then I woke up to a dead phone

kendall williams, the first thing I would do is to try and charge it on a AC charger. When you said that your dads charges, I take it that you are using the same computer and the same cable. So that should be okay. Check your dock connector. Make sure there is not dirt and corrosion on the pins. It is possible that you battery is at the end of its lifespan.

Try using a different cable or charger than you use for your dad's.
It could be that the battery is shot. The charging port also could be done too.
Did you try a hard reset? Could just be that it shut down and normal "power on" won't get it booted.
Hold the power button and home button for 10-15 seconds then release the home button and keep holding the power button. See if it boots that way.
