anyone?

omer,

omer, you say your device is getting hot, and I would check to see if there is a specific area that gets hottest. The most common part to get hot would be a IC, and most commonly it would be the power management IC. I would start with disassembling the iPod and taking some voltage measurement at the dock connector, and at the battery. I would expect it to get around 3.7V at the battery contacts. It is possible that you have a faulty battery that cause the IC to overheat, or vice versa. Let us know.

oldturkey03,

oldturkey03 thanks 4 your answer the whole main board get hot, not one ic.. maybe i need to disconnect the battery with solder iron?

Omar,

Did desoldering the battery help? I am having the same problem with my ipod. Wondering if battery was the problem.
