I found one day that the phone wouldn't turn on. I assumed the battery had run out of charge so I plugged it in and it turned on just fine... but after hours of being on the charger I would unplug it and it would die.

When it was on, it was at the "connect to itunes" screen, and a window over it with an error message that read something along the lines of "error, connect to itunes and restore." Then upon opening the slider, it goes into "emergency call" screen... but it won't make any calls, even emergency calls. I tested this by dialing 911, and it responded with "only emergency calls."

Plugged it into itunes to restore it and got error message "1611" which says possible hardware malfunction, and then eventually also got error "1602" I believe, or something along those lines, which said something similar.

Any ideas?
