Front display bezel cracked on MacBook

History

I've read through the guide for replacing the bezel and it looks pretty straightfoward but I have a question. My bezel is already cracked and looks like I could remove the bezel without taking the laptop apart. It appears the replacement bezel will just snap is so I was wondering if I could remove the old one knowing I would break it and just snap the new one on. Thanks for the great guides and parts availability!

I've replaced the bezels on these before without going through all those steps listed in the guide. I don't remember anything that would cause breakage. I'd say go ahead.
