After Power Surge, TV won't turn on

I have an LG TV that won't turn on after a Power surge.
When we plug it in the Red Light turns on at the bottom, but pushing the button provides no response. I've never had a remote for it along with my phone no longer having an IR blaster so I cannot check that method.

Model Number: 47LB5900-UV

I have checked the Power board along with the Main board, there's no visible damage.

When plugging it in with the back cover off I hear a faint buzzing sound, but I'm unsure if that's just the components or not as the buzzing isn't able to be heard with the cover on.

Hi @alexhochreiter,

Was the TV turned on when the power surge occurred or was it in the standby mode?

If turned on then it could be the power board or the mainboard or both. If in the standby state, most probably it's just the power board.

You may need to have a DMM (digital multimeter) to find out what's wrong.

Here's the troubleshooting flowchart from the service manual for the TV model series that may be a good place to start.
