upgrading upper case from a1226 to a1260 MacBook Pro

A1226 MacBook Pro

I am looking to replace my upper case from my 1226 to a 1260 for multitouch from what I gather it will fit, but are there any buttons I have to replace if they are both american keyboards or buttons that wont work after replacement.

The A 1260 upper case will work just fine but I don't know if the multitouch will.

the keyboard and trackpad firmware is located in the top case... so the a1226 keyboard would act as a a1260 keyboard, so all the function keys would be messed up... other than that it should work fine... the american settings could be set in the system preferences afaik...
