Yes chaise if you have No Signal or No WiFI on your iPhone , you likely to be on the right track with the famous blue Antenna coil.

Do you have a weak signal or low bars and poor WIFI. I've seen this when the iPhone 4 has taken water damage you may find that the on the reception stops working.

Many times when folks open their iPhone 4 it is easy to break the blue inductor, and then have a weak signal.

The blue coil fixes both GSM and WIFI faults. You can find out more and purchase one here.

cyberdoctormd, be careful with posting your URL all over. Could be looked upon as spam. Place the URL into your profile and link your answers to that. Many people that answer questions, have their own business but do not use this forum to increase their business

I usually just create a jumper with soldering iron and it works.

@ Johnkustis, do you just basically bypass the coil all together? Is that not bad? Or do you just temporally bypass it to see if the coil is at fault? Sounds like mine has gone too, any help would be awesome. Thanks, Chris.

Chris Gironi,

Ok thanks for the replies. I'm gonna go ahead and change the coil. Just a heads up now, Those people selling the replacement coils are robbing people blind.

Chris Gironi,

Hey Chris sorry for a late reply did not see your post. It is perfectly fine, I personally do it all the time for my customers.

I just dabbed a small blob of conductive silver with a circuit pen across where the coil was and it works perfect now.

The answer to your questions, how to fix the blue inductor coil causing a signal problem, the solution is easy we have repaired many with a 100% success rate. If you look at the signal antenna which you plug the cable into, simply run a wire from the left side bridge it to the right side point on the blue coil and follow it all the way to the furthest (right) component on the top left side. This will act as a 'bypass route' and your signal will start to work again.

All it takes is a bit of micro-soldering knowledge and some 0.1mm wire and basing soldering equipment. This will fix your problem guaranteed, providing it was the missing blue coil that caused your signal issue in the first place.
