Ram Upgrade - Corsair Vengeance DDR3-1600

History

Hi,

I'm currently looking at upgrading my RAM in my Macbook, I stumbled on an amazing deal for the Corsair model number CMSX8GX3M2A1600C9.

I was woundering if this was compatible with my Macbook, Late 2008 unibody model A1278.

If that's a PC3-8500 / Low Profile / 204 pin, 1066 MHz Chip yes, if not No.

It's actually PC12800 with 1600MHz chips

Then it wont work - it must be PC3-8500 DDR3

just bought 2x4gb corsair vengeance (so dimm) checked the efi and everything is ok, but the system won't start??
