Power Steering fluid leak. Moaning sound
A few weeks back my 97 Toyota Camry V6 3.0 Litre started to make a moaning sound which I attributed to low level of power steering fluid. Topping up the PS fluid reservoir stopped the sound and it was fine for about another 2 weeks and it started happening again. I topped it up again and it was fine for a week and then sound returned and the reservoir was empty. I am now having to top up the fluid daily. I assume there is a leak in the power steering hose or it needs to be replaced altogether. I would appreciate any help or guidance on how to resolve this problem.
TIA

Corey, I would most certainly look for any leakage on the pump, the hoses and the steering gear itself. By now you should see where it leaks. Since it got worse over the last few weeks, I would think that it is a seal that is giving out. Take a look at the steering gear, on the crossmember, you might find the fluid on there. Hope this helps, good luck.
