Do you get the same thing when you connect your iPhoen to a computer? Or does it just happen when you plug it into a wall charger. Are you using a docking station?

tal, it is my experience that this is most often caused by a bad dock connector. Few things you should do. Look in the dock port and remove any dirt, lint, debris, anything that shouldn’t be there. I suggest an compressed air duster to blow it out and a soft toothbrush with some isopropyl alcohol. If you get this error only when connected to your iPhone dock or cable, check the dock. Test the dock or cable with another iPhone. Just as a sidebar, if you were using a Firewire cable, your message would actual say " Charging is not supported with this accessory" little different. the only thing you should clarify is what you mean when you say "replaced a 3 dock's to this iphone" are you talking about the dock connector that connects to the logic board, or are you referring to something you hook your iphone up to. If you replaced the internal dock connector (which needs to be soldered) you may have some total different issues. It may turn out that you may have to replace the dock connector in order to repair your phone, but check those steps above first. Hope this helps, good luck

oldturkey03, yes the 3 dock i replaced are dock connector

( http://www.lunacommerce.com/350-602-thic... connector like this )

(thats that connect to the logic board) and why is need to be soldered?

i mention before...

that i try another thing Completely i take another logic board (in this case logic board of 3gs 16gb ipad basaeband) and replaced them in the same case i use and with the other logic board i can charger! if the probelm is in the logic board its can be an firmware update of apple?

Thank you for the clarification. It is great that you replaced the whole assembly, and not tried to solder the connector only It does sound to me like you are having logic board issues. Try to take just the dock connector from the non-charging iPhone and connect it to the logic board of the one that is charging and see if that makes a difference. If the dock connector works properly on the other iPhone, there is a possibility that you are having some IC issues. see if you can find the fuses on your logic board and if they are okay, especially the charging fuse. Check on this question for more info.

The error is implying you are using a FW cable Vs a USB cable to connect the iPhone to your Mac, PC or charger (FW) "This accessory is not optimized for this phone".

You state you replaced the 'docks' 3 times do you mean the dock connector in the phone? if so you may have damaged contacts or the solder joints of the connector so you have a short across. Thus, the phones logic thinks a FW vs USB connection so it won't charge.

Remember, the first gen. of iPod used a FW connection

dan, thnx for the help

when you say FM you mean Firmware cable?! or firewire?! i never use firewire cable i use the normal cable the oem cable and if you say frimware so i need you wait that apple will update there firmware?

somthing i forget to mention that is when i plug and replug the cable like a 50 times suddenly decide to chrage...

because that i think that isnot a short across but might be...

what do you think? (sorry my english is not so high)

one more thing, when the iphone raout of battery i plug the iphone to the chrager and there is the big battery and Under the battery there sighn of lightning and its still dosent charge its stay like that for hours...

by

FW = Firewire

Try a different iPhone to USB cable, any difference? Could be the iPhone's connector is worn or damaged so the cable is unable to connect correctly if a different cable does not improve things, if the new cable works the cable you were using is bad.
