iPhone screen randomly presses

History

I wonder if anyone can help me. My iPhone has gone crazy! The top corner of the screen keeps randomly pressing itself asif someone was consistly tapping it. I can't use a lot apps now as most of them have the 'back' button located there.

I thought it was there screen so I bought a replacement and changed it, but the problem still persist.

Can anyone please advise?

have you recently done anything to the phone? installed new app, jailbroken, dropped phone? is there a pattern ie is it only on one screen or all?

I dropped the phone a few times since i bought it nothing too major. The problem i got is with both screens, the new and old one. I restored it too but the problem still persist. Could the motherboard be damaged?

is your frame distorted or bent? perhaps it is putting pressure on edge of screen and making it think it is being touched? Another option is that there is a micro crack in the solder to one of the pins on the motherboard connection for the digitiser. Sometimes resoldering/retinning these pins may repair the problem but you really do need a fine tip/fine solder/ magnification and something to keep the board still. Otherwise I'd send it off to a professional for repair.

Thanks for the advice mate. I decided to sell the phone and put the money towards a new 4s. Thanks again for the advice, its my first time usinf this site and i think its great.
