iPhone board is getting heated and won't turn on

I have a 3G that just shut off and battery started getting heated and it never turned back on. I ordered a new OEM battery cause I thought that was the problem but as soon as I dropped it in and put the board on it it started heating up without even connecting the screen on it, it never turned on after assembled and still heats up. Can this be fixed? What is the problem?
