power button broken and can't switch on using usb cable
i cant switch on iphone through the power button and when i connect the iphone to my computer it doesnt power up as normal

It is different when plugged into the wall? It may be totally flat. When totally flat, only a wall charger is able to start the charging cycle. If that still fails then I feel that you may have a dead battery.

where can i get the battery and how much can it cost me.please help any other options without battery been dead.
bad dock connector? check and see if there is any dirt etc on the pins that may stop it powering up. I think Deano is right though.. ifixit sells battery or google "iphone 3g battery" there are endless numbers of dealers out there to choose from.
