Ipod has just been sitting on shelf for I dont know how long bout a year maybe. Told my friends daughter she could have it if she was good for her mom while dad was away. Well she was and now the screen is so dark u can hardly see it. Hooked up to iTunes and it said ipod was currupt so i restored it. but the screen is still very dark.

here is a list of things i have trid so far:

1. first i hooked to itunes and restored

2. then i adjusted brightness to max.

3. then someone posted a solution that they said fixed same problem which was turn brightness to 20% then turn off ipod, then turn back on and turn up brightness.

So please iFixit community please help me fix this problem so i dont look like a douche for giving a 7 year old a broken ipod :(
