Can a broken Volume button be fixed?
My Ipod Nano 6G's volume button broke. It isn't stuck. It comes out again, when I turn the iPod upside down. But I can push i as much as I like the Volume doesn't change.
Can this be fixed or is my little one doomed?
Please help!

Installing iPod Nano 6th Generation Headphone Jack Assembly this is the guide to fixing that part..it's a lot of hard work. Have you thought of just buying headphones with a built in volume control to bypass the problem for far less hassle? Also I'd try taking it in to apple..might still be under warranty.

To Minefield120...
My nano took a spin through the washing machine and when it came out the screen was dead so i replaced that. Now everything was working except for my down volume, like yours. What i found to be my issue was a bad/loose connection at where the headphone jack assembly plugs into the logic board. I could replace the assembly but i don't know if the connection problem is with the plug or the jack and i've already spent $70 to fix a $120 item. However, when i put a little pressure on the connection it works again. So for now I placed a small rolled up piece of electrical tape on to of that connector and let the steel shield hold it in place. I guess we shall see how long it holds up.
