Upgrading iMac software and hardware

History

Hi All

I have an Imac 1.83 GHz Intel Core Duo Running Tiger OS 10.4.4. I would like to upgrade the software to Lion. I understand that to run Lion you need a Core 2 Duo Processor. Is it possible to upgrade the CPU in an IMac and if so is it worth it? Other wise I will just change the Ram chips and install 2- 1GB rams chips and then install Snow Leopard. I understand that Snow Leopard can be run on a Core Duo Processor. Any help would be great. Thanks.

rj713 Thanks a lot that helped. I looked for it before I asked but I guess I was not looking carefully. Thanks I will probably stick to Snow leopard and not bother with Lion.
