Keyboard is weird, should I change the logic board?

History

Hi

a few months ago a few drops of dish washing liquid dripped into my macbook core2duo keyboard. since then some buttons of my keyboard are not working, my screen gets dark so i have to keep holding the light button for a long time, my itune skipps songs, my volum button is totally disfunctional and many more weird things.

at first it was okay because i could work around it but recently it's just overwhelming. oh also now holding the light up button is the only way for my mac to work steadily (without interruption). so please help....what can i do if anything?

what if i change the logic board? could it possibly be okay?

Thanks

The macbook top case should be removed and the logic board inspected for any sign of corrosion then cleaned if any. You did not mention if the liquid went inside the keyboard and over the macbook top case. If so the top case could also be the culprit. That's why first, after logic board inspection, I'll try a known working top case before replacing the main board. Booting the machine without the top case connected while using an external keyboard and mouse could also tell you if the top case is faulty.
