will not start up

MacBook Pro 15 inch 22 Core 2 Duo Models A1226 and A1260

when i push the start up buttom nothing happen,no sound,no display,nothing,when i turn it off it was working fine next time i turn it on nothing,i put the opertating disk in and you can hear it run but nothing show up
