Replaced IPad 2 LCD now it won't power up.

History

Hi I replaced the LCD, digitizer, and wifi cable on my iPad 2. It went pretty smoothly but I cannot power the iPad up now (even with the old cracked LCD). All the connections are tight and the battery is charged. The new digitizer glass came with it's own home button already in place. Any ideas for me? Thanks so much for your help.

I got it to turn on. I plugged it into the computer, pressed the home button and the power button at the same time, and the apple in the center of the screen appeared. Thrilled it works!

Thank you so much!!! This information was invaluable!! =)

Therobertsonfamily,

My ipad 2 was doing the same thing. The backlight on the screen was not coming on. This worked.

One good way to fix this if the reset didn't work is to disconnect the batteries for 30 minutes then connect it back... What happens sometimes is that your software doesn't realise (for stupid reason) that the lcd is supposed to be off and it gets all mixed up. That solved my problems 3 times already.
