Computer not recieving power from battery, Magsafe lights not on
I have been dealing with this problem for sometime now. I have a 2007 macbook, that wont power on. The last few days it has only functioned while plugged in. Today the magsafe lights don't turn on and the battery still has a charge, but the computer wont power on. A similar experience happened several months ago, the computer would not charge for several weeks, and then i plugged it in again one day and it just randomly charged again, and has worked fine since then. Any help you can give me would be great.

Use a multimeter to test out the Magsafe adapter. Here's the pinout on the right side of the page. It could also be your DC-IN port or a combination of the two. So test the adapter first. Press the button on your battery to see if it has a charge, you could have battery problems or battery connector issues. Next remove the batter and adapter, press and hold the power button for 5 seconds, reattach the adapter and give it a try. Let us know your results and we can go from there.
Battery has a charge, and i checked the adapter and its working fine. I plugged it in today, and now it is receiving power (Magsafe light on and computer powered up) but i still can't use it with out it being plugged into the adapter. Any thoughts?
Also the battery is only charging up to 1 light out of 5 (when you press the button on the battery) and then it says the charge is complete.
Download and run Coconut Battery to find the condition of your battery and how much charge it should be able to take. http://www.coconut-flavour.com/

Somethings not right here. Your showing the battery at 10 times its capacity and didn't state if it was charging or not.
