connect to Samsung 225 bw monitor

History

hi,

I want to connect my ibook g4 to my samsung 225 bw monitor. I've seen some discussions say that I need a mini vga, others dvi adapter, and other suggested fireware??? Not sure which to select, and money is tight so I don't want to purchase 1 thing and it not be.

please advice,

If your samsung monitor has a VGA input connector you need the mini VGA to VGA adapter and VGA cable (male to male):

If the monitor has composite video connector (yellow) then you need the mini VGA to video adapter and a composite cable (male to male):

These two adapters do not carry audio signal so you'll also need an audio cable (male stereo mini jack connector on one side to 2 male RCA connectors to the other end) to connect the macbook audio line out to the monitor RCA ports.
