change of touch assembly = problems

Hi guys,

i have a problem, i cracked my screen, so i buy a new one a replace it diy. The screen looks great again, but i have a few problems. When i use my iP 4 and touch the metal middle plate, the touch scr stop working, or working very badly. When i touch only front and back glass parts /dont touch metal part/, touchsreen works on 100%, i also notice that when i touch the upper corner and the lower, touchscreen stop working for sure. I think it is some of screws that i dont put back right, or some screw touchs the middle plate? I also have problem with proximity sensor, when i have cracked screen on, px sns works superb, now absolutely nothing.

Thank for your help guys, and sorry for my bad english.

when you replaced the screen did you take the 6 screws on the metal out or just lightly unscrew them, because if you just lightly unscrewed them you might not have got the screen in the right place with the spacers.the clips on the screen have to be on the inside of the spacers so that from the inside of you phone it would go like this BOLT,SPACER,SCREEN CLIP.

try this and and let me no how it goes.

Yes, touch screen now working perfect. But the proximity sensor still dont work. Before i replace the screen, proximity sensor was working perfect. The glass from broken original touch screen falls off around prx sensor, but the sensor still working, now it stops working. Light sensor working fine. Can you please give me advice? I want my proximity sensor back on :( THANK YOU!
