Exchange the Ethernet card

History

Hi!

Has anyone exhanged the Ethernet card in the Boxee Box? Any description available ?

I believe that the original Ethernet card 1xEthernet (10/100 mbit) is a bit slow..

I want to exchange to a better and faster one.. 100/1000Mbit/s is what i would rather have!

I hope that someone can help me with this...

the ethernet card is only a chip on the mainboard - it's not possible to replace it with a plug and play solution

So if we exchange the Mini PCI-E wireless card in step 7-8 that wont make any difference?

no, that wont help the ethernet connection speed, the wireless card is only for the wifi connection.

Ah, that is bad! I have to check with one of my data-nerd friends then to be able to exchange the Ethernet card because i think it is too slow.. ;-) Do you have any recommendation for a new remote control? I think that the original Boxee Box remote is quite bad.. the cursor moves to slow.. Is the wireless app for Android good as a compliment to the original remote? Brgds Markus
