cant restore iPod to work

its says restore with i tunes did that but gives error code 1439

Jerry,

This seems to be a common problem amongst these old iPods. The only solutions I was able to find were to download an old version of iTunes (I read 7.1 somewhere) or try a hard reset. Try this and let us know what happens!

how do i do it when i tried to restore thru i tunes but error 1439 pops up

Did you download an old version of itunes? You should try the 7.1 version first

it wont let me download and i would have to get rid of new version itunes but will lose all music that i currently have

jerry, have you tried disk mode on your iPod? Does your computer see it in that mode.

loaded version recommended and keeps giving error 1439 hard reset according to manual and system just clicks on and off

i am having the same issues but my ipod is already in disk mode and i cant get it out of that and or restore what should i do
