The late 2005 Power Mac G5 was introduced in October, and discontinued in August the next year. There were three configuration options, one dual core processor at 2.0 GHz, one dual core at 2.3 GHz with model number A1177, and one dual core dual processor (quad core) at 2.5 GHz.

You would need to replace the logic board--the processor daughter card--the heat sinks--the power supply and a fair amount of wiring and small bits. Essentially you would need to gut the case and start over and in my opinion it would be less expensive to sell that unit and buy a Mac Pro. YMMV

In the for whats its worth department if I though this would work I would convert my G5 instead of putting it up for sale.
