What is the maximum amount of RAM I can install?

History

I would like to upgrade my ram on my computer, however am not sure if there are any limitations on how much RAM I can install. I currently have 2GB (2 x 1GB) and was considering going to 4GB (2x2GB)

You can install up to 8 GB using 2x4 GB sticks. This also means that you can install the 4 GB that you were talking about(if this is the unibody macbook).

2x4GB Sticks are correct. I am currently running 8GB on the A1342 without issue and is a nice upgrade from the 2GB.
