Do you have a guide to replace the MacBook backlight

My computer backlight dies, do have any step by step guide to replace it??

I warn you, it's a hell of a job to replace the fluorescent backlight lamp. You need to be technically inclined and know how to use a iron solder to do this job. A better choice would be to find a backlight assy for your screen, much easier to swap. Look on ebay for a cracked screen with working backlight and swap the backlight assy.

Also are you sure the backlight lamp is dead ? Are you sure it's not an inverter cable or inverter board issue ?

Thanks mayer. Not a real expert but done it enough to know it's a hard job to replace the bulb. You're dealing with a real fragile thiny fluorescent lamp, easy to break and containing hazardous gas (mercury) so it's not a newbie job. Also you have to solder the inverter wires to the two lamp ends and it's difficult to replace the bulb and the wires inside the metal enclosure that goes on the LCD panel.
