When starts up goes to question mark? I have no restore disk?

History

Well my computer crashed when my mom unplugged from the wall while running! Then I started it up and bows theres a question mark (death symbol) i have no restore disk I got it off eBay and have no CDs? What do I do? It will run like 5+ then shut off

Try starting up holding down the "Shift Key" to go into safe mode and see if it will rebuild. You can also buy a retail copy of Snow Leopard 10.6 or call Apple and get an original system installation disk for $15 plus shipping and tax.

Another thing to try is Target mode with another Mac and see if you can repair the hard drive. You can even use SuperDuper in Target Mode to clone a system onto you drive.
