Four blinking lights come on but does not connect?

It was first not turning on at all so I opened it up and and cleaned it out so after that the following happened: it will only show the four blinking lights that it is charging when connected with the usb cable but when the ps button is pressed nothing else happens. It will not connect. Anybody know what it might be?
