How to upgrade for Final Cut Studio 3?
I have a iMac MB323LL/A (20", 2.4GHz) that I want to upgrade to 4GB so that I can run Final Cut Studio 3. Will all 4GB run in this model of iMac. Do I also need to upgrade the Graphics Card? Which 4GB and if needed Graphics Card?

Based on photographs from those whom have disassembled the iMac "Core Duo" and White iMac Core 2 Duo models, the video is soldered to the motherboard and cannot be removed after purchase, with the exception of the White iMac "Core 2 Duo" 2.16 24-Inch.
Although Apple makes no mention of it in technical documents, a number of third-parties have reported that the video in the White iMac "Core 2 Duo" 2.16 24-Inch system uses a MXM module, so it theoretically could be upgraded, although to date, MXM modules for purchase by individuals are few and far between.
This is from WeLove Macs it's a replacement video card. If you can replace it, you can probably upgrade it.

I'm researching to see what I can find. Next step is contacting nVidia, I'll get back to you.
I called We love Macs for more info but they will only let you talk to the techs via email.
WeLove Macs is reporting that there are no video cards for your machine (iMac MB323LL/A (20", 2.4GHz) Here is what I’ve found for other machines: Apple iMac 20-inch 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo (MA877LL) has two cards: 20" iMac Intel Aluminium ATI Radeon HD 2400XT Video Card (p/n 1006800) 20" iMac (Mid 2007) ATI Radeon HD 2600XT Video Card (p/n 1006068) Report are saying that the cards are on the back side of the motherboard and replacement requires motherboard removal. 24" iMac (Early 2008) NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GS 512MB (PCI Express) Video Card This in from RamDirect: The mb323ll/a takes DDR2-800 SODIMMs. 2GB max per slot.
I've written to my RAM supplier to get a definitive answer on the RAM. I've seen conflicting data. Will get back to you as soon as I know)
