How to change the motherboard

History

The motherboard of my dad's old Acer Aspire 6930 is shot. My mom will buy me a new motherboard, and dad says if I can fix it I can have it. How do I take the old one out and put the new one in?

You're going to have to take the entire bottom panel off, disconnect EVERYTHING, but be careful not to damage anything, and then put the new board in and reconnect everything.

Its a little bit involved but not a bad job. Just download the service manual from here and follow the instructions. Good Luck,
