Why none of my Usb port works?

History

i try to used my external hard drive but it only power up but noting it doesnt show and the desktop,my flash drive dont work either of the 2 usb ports

because the booting of your usb key is formatted on ntfs for windows

but i dont think its thats why the same usb key work on my other mac,i even got a mac usb keyboard today n try it n it didnt work

carlos, the format of the external hard drive does not explain why no other device does NOT work in the USB port.
