Faster way to remove loudspeaker

The loudspeakers of my iPhone 4 have very low sound. I want to replace the loudspeaker, I am looking at the ifixit guide and I am wondering if there is a faster way.

If I remove only the docking connector, and two screws holding the enclosure, will that be enough? Is it necessary to remove the logic board?

I have never disassembled the iPhone 4 yet and I was wondering if someone has tried this shortcut, or it is completely impossible.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

I did it my way with total success :)

The replacement was much faster and easier than removing the logic board and I did not feel I put any pressure on the board.

Thanks for your help.

You can slip it out that way you described. Take off the screws for at least the lower part of the logic board, that way it will give you more "wiggle room." It does put a little more stress on the logic board and you are prone to breaking off the metal prongs on the antenna. That's why we don't recommend doing it that way on our guide. But it can be done.
