The screen was broken (do not know how it is not mine).

I will try with another boot disk, even though I have my doubts.

Indeed with the external video and the battery alone goes to sleep randomly, while the power supply is all ok.

Can i boot the mac with out the connector/sleep sensor to see if is the issue ? How about ?

Thanks for the answers

Yes you may try it. Take off the top case and the battery connector sleep sensor then just connect the top case connector, connect the ac adaptor and push the power button. Please report if you still have the sleep issue.

Could you try to boot the MB with the installation disk of from another source than your internal drive. That would tell you if the problem is a hardware or software problem. Also why did you replace the screen ? Was the MB dropped or something ? Any problem to charge the battery ? I wonder if the battery Connector/Sleep Sensor could be the culprit ?
